Admission Requirements
- One year or 2000 hours of RN work experience
- Graduation from an accredited master's or doctoral program with a master's or doctoral degree in nursing
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (B) in the last 60 units
- Current California RN licensure or eligibility for California RN licensure
- One year of recent clinical experience is recommended
- Three letters of reference (from individuals such as: work supervisors, professional colleagues, and former faculty members)
- One page, typed statement of purpose written by the applicant that outlines the applicant's goals and objectives for the pursuit of nurse practitioner study
- Current résumé or curriculum vitae
- Complete set of official transcripts from previous colleges and universities
- Students are required to complete yearly health requirements and to purchase professional liability insurance
