There is no application process to begin taking classes. Register for classes based on individual goals and prerequisites.
Register Early
GIS class size is limited due to the need for all students to have access to computer terminals. Registration for individual courses is on a first-come basis. To guarantee a space in a class, please register three weeks in advance.
New Students
Create an SF State Login and follow the email instructions to set an SF State Password.
Returning Students
- Select your class on the Class Schedule
- Click the Add to Shopping Cart button
- Log in to complete the registration and payment process
