Victoria Hritonenko (she/her/hers)

Victoria Hritonenko earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Houston and completed five years of post-doctoral studies at UC Berkeley. Her research expertise is diverse, as she has studied membrane proteins involved in the establishment of bacterial infections and contact lens-associated sight-threatening infections of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Her research outcomes are presented in fifteen peer-reviewed scientific papers. She has been a speaker at twenty-nine national and international conferences. Professor Hritonenko was a recipient of two prestigious post-doctoral awards from the National Institutes of Health and several travel grants.
During her fifteen-year teaching career Professor Hritonenko has supervised student research projects and has taught both upper-division and lower-division Biology-related courses. She joined the Post-Bac Program in 2020 and has taught several courses including Molecular Pathophysiology and Immunology.
Professor Hritonenko enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
