Ryan Farquhar (he/him/his)

Ryan Farquhar earned his B.S. in Physiology and Metabolism, B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology, MPH in Public Health Nutrition, and Dietetic Internship at UC Berkeley. He has been an instructor in the Post-Bac Program since 2022 and has taught a variety of courses, including Pathophysiology and Nutrition.
Coming from a former foster background, Professor Farquhar is passionate about community health and prevention. He is a supporter of basic needs initiatives rooted in justice and healing efforts and focuses research and evaluation efforts in these areas. Outside of teaching and research, Professor Farquhar works as a consultant on projects focused on Food as Medicine initiatives to expand accessible nutrition care. Some of his projects include the use of technology to both improve community access to resources and to support programs in improving their care models.
In his free time, Professor Farquhar enjoys cooking, nature, drawing, reading visual novels and playing video games.
