Pre-Health Formal Post-Baccalaureate Program

The highly structured, formal post-bac program prepares students to apply to medical school, dental school, physician assistant, and other graduate health professions schools.

The program is split into two tracks:

  • Career Changer Track (CCT)
  • Academic Enhancer Track (AET)

The CCT is designed for students needing to take prerequisite science and math courses. The AET is for students who have completed most if not all of the prerequisites, needing to improve their academic record by taking upper-division science electives. Regardless of track, students are able to take any of the prerequisite and elective courses offered by the program.

Students must complete 40 units of coursework (which includes the Health Professions Colloquium) to satisfy certificate requirements. Up to 20 units may be transferred from past coursework.
