Dr. Michael Green and Ann Sartori Scholarship
After retiring from the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at St. Louis University Medical School, Dr. Michael Green taught in the Post-Bac Program at SF State (fall 2015 - fall 2017). While he mentored hundreds of medical and graduate students during his long career, he often mentioned his time at SF State as one of his favorite teaching experiences.
Ann Sartori was a Montessori-certified pre-school teacher for many years. In 1986, she graduated from St. Louis University Law School and was admitted to the Missouri Bar Association. Today, she lives in San Francisco and enjoys spending time with her children, Josh and Sarah, and her two grandchildren.
The scholarship honors the memory and impact Dr. Michael Green has had on students and colleagues by establishing an ongoing fund to help highly motivated and deserving students in the Pre-Health Professions Certificate Program.
