Pre-Health Fall Application Deadline: April 15, 2023

Planning to go to medical school or nursing school? 

Complete the prerequisites in two years with SF State's Pre-Health Professions program, intended for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree and wish to apply to U.S. health professional schools.

Application Period: October 1 - April 15
Deadline: April 15, 8:59 p.m. PT/11:59 p.m. ET

Who Should Apply in Fall

  • Pre-Nursing Post-Bac: You must have completed a basic biology course and a college math course. If you have not taken a basic biology course, please consider applying for the summer cycle.
  • Formal Post-Bac:
    • Career Changer Track (CCT): You must have completed the major’s level General Chemistry I and a college math course. If you have not taken General Chemistry I, please consider applying for the summer cycle.
    • Academic Enhancer Track (AET): All applicants are welcome.

We will include a short presentation by the program co-director and admissions staff about curriculum, advising, program benefits and financial aid, followed by Q&A.

We will be using Zoom to conduct the meeting. Please RSVP to obtain the meeting ID and instructions.
