Pre-Nursing Post-Bac Program

Important: The Pre-Nursing program is not currently accepting new students.

The four-semester (15-month) Pre-Nursing Post-Bac Program is highly structured and intended for students that have already earned a bachelor's degree and wish to apply to U.S. nursing and physician assistant schools. Students wishing to apply to other health profession schools with similar prerequisites are also welcome. The program is suitable for those taking prerequisite courses for the first time, those retaking prerequisite courses, and those taking a combination of first-time and retaken prerequisites. These prerequisites consist of a combination of science, math and social science courses. Participants are also welcome to choose among the many science and public health electives offered in the Formal Post-Bac Program.

A sample curriculum is posted below. Students must complete 30 units of coursework (which includes the two colloquia) to satisfy certificate requirements. Up to 15 units may be able to be transferred from past coursework. Students enroll in special sessions through the College of Professional & Global Education.
