Create an SF State Login and follow the email instructions to set an SF State Password.
Pre-Session Start Day Registration
Registration steps from April 17, 2024 to a day before the start day of each session.
R1/R4: June 2 | R2: June 16 | R3: July 7
Select the classes that interest you.

- Select Term
- For Session select College of Professional & Global Education (CPaGE)
- Select Subject
- Under Course Number check Include Open University Classes
- Click the Advanced Search button
- Prerequisites: Check course prerequisites in the SF State Bulletin. See Prerequisites Policy.
- Course Restrictions: Check Summer 2024 Policies > Course Restrictions to make sure your course is eligible for Open University and early registration.
- Permission Numbers: Check Summer 2024 Policies > Permission Numbers Required during First Week of Classes to find out if the course requires a permission number from the instructor.
Complete the enrollment form.
